  • NC MHCO updates members with clear, easy to understand information regarding law changes for adults with mental illness in North Carolina. 
  • NC MHCO hosts an annual conference offering education and social activities. 
  • NC MHCO provides scholarships to many who attend the conference.

Other ways that we keep our membership informed is through a quarterly newsletter.  Articles may be sent to us at our address or office email.


Our goal is to increase awareness that recovery is possible for people with mental illness.

 


Peer Support :


Support from those who share the challenge of mental illness. 


NC MHCO has been offering support and advocacy to adults with mental illness since 1989.  We are funded by the State of North Carolina through the Federal Block Grant. 

 


Warm Line - toll free call : 


NC MHCO links consumers of mental health services to information, support and each other. 


NC MHCO offers information or assistance to those who feel they are having problems regarding mental health services. 


Some just call for support.  When we are not in the office you may leave your name and telephone number with area code.  We will return your call promptly. 

 


Skill Building Support Groups

NC MHCO’s recovery focused support groups work on life skill building exercises which include:

  • Preventing Relapse
